Kathleen Turner Series

Kathleen Turner Series

Last year, I fell in love with the Kathleen Turner series by new indie author Tiffany Snow.

There are 3 main characters that you should get familiar with:  Kathleen Turner, Blane Kirk, and Kade Dennon.

Kathleen “Kat” Turner is a young, bright-eyed legal assistant by day and waitress of a local sports bar by night.  She is working an extra job so that she can save up and put herself through college.  Her goal at the beginning of the series is to be a lawyer or another profession within the legal field.  She likes animals and Britney Spears.  She is intimidated by Blane Kirk and develops a crush on him.

Blane Kirk is one of the partners at the law firm where Kathleen works.  He is tall, blonde and handsome with an athletic build.  He is incredibly smart and has political ambitions that stretch beyond being a lawyer.  He is one of the partners at the law firm where Kathleen works. He is a sharp dresser and always manages to look as if he just stepped off of the pages of GQ.  He also has a bit of a reputation for being a womanizer.  That is, until he meets Kathleen.

Kade Dennon is a mystery.  He is tall, dark and handsome.  He is a computer hacker and assassin. He is also Blane Kirk’s brother.  While Kade lives on the dark side, he holds many secrets.  Kade is also a silent partner at the law firm where Blane and Kat work.  Kade is initially hired to kill Kathleen but has second thoughts once he sees how much his brother cares for her.

Aside from the 3 main characters, the Kathleen Turner series has many lovable and not-so-lovable characters to embrace.  There are 5 books in the series in total.

Tiffany Snow does a wonderful job with the story and the characters.  I found myself drawn into the lives of Kat, Blane and Kade.  Each book left me breathless.  The action, the suspense and the mystery kept me hanging on until the end.  There is of course a love triangle… but you will have to read the books to find out which guy ends up with the girl. 😉

I give the Kathleen Turner series a Rating of 4 stars.

What She Saw – Review

what she saw - by sheila lowe

I just finished reading “What She Saw” by Sheila Lowe.  This was one of my “To-Read” books on my March reading list.

A woman opens her eyes and finds herself on a train.  She has no idea who she is, where she lives or how she got on the train.  The only thing she knows is that she must do everything she can to find out.  The answers to her identity lies in various clues she stumbles upon by chance.  She begins to believe that she is in great danger and that someone is after her.  Each clue brings her closer to her identity and closer to the danger.  Not everyone she meets is who they seem to be, including her.

A spell-binding “who dunnit” that will keep you locked in until the very last page.  It is not often that I find books that suck me in from the very first few pages, but that is exactly what I found with Sheila Lowe’s “What She Saw”.  One of the things I loved most about this novel is that the pieces of the puzzle didn’t always fit the way I thought they might.  Each piece lead to another twist and another turn.  Just when I thought I had it all figured out, Lowe tugged the rug out from under me.  There were quite a few moments in this book that I didn’t see coming.  I love those kinds of mysteries!

I feel very fortunate to have read this book.  It was one that sort of fell into my lap.  I love to read books and wanted to start reviewing them, so this is actually one of the first books I have gotten to review.  If not for the review, I might not have discovered Sheila Lowe.  While “What She Saw” is really a standalone novel, I happily discovered that she has a whole series of books called “The Claudia Rose Series“!

Have you read “What She Saw”?  If so, what did you think?  Have you read “The Claudia Rose Series”?  Do you recommend it?

My Rating For What She Saw:

4-star
